Energy Retrofits for stacked townhomes

Indwell, a supportive housing provider, partnered with Trim Tab to modernize stacked townhomes in Woodstock, ON. This project integrates energy retrofits with the turnover of the unit. The units were sealed, ventilated and electrified as part of the turnover process. The results is central air conditioning, fresh air, and fewer bills to pay. The project was made possible through a climate grant from the Peter Gilgan Foundation.

Units sealed to new construction standards. Keep the heat in. Keeps the drafts out.

Mechanical ventilation to provide a steady stream of fresh, tempered air.

Central cooling and efficient space heating through the addition of an air source heat pump.

Heating load lowered to take unit off gas. One less bill for the tenant to worry about.
